Arkansas Tech University invites applications for a tenure track, Assistant Professor of Anthropology position beginning August 2025. Candidates should have expertise in archaeology focusing on the southeastern US, particularly in the areas of pre-colonial American archaeology and/or Early American archaeology, although other areas of topical and geographical expertise will be considered. Position is expected to manage the new Center for Heritage and Culture collections, enhance current offerings in Cultural Resource Management and Anthropology, including the Archaeology Field School, and participate in state and local archaeology events. It is expected the candidate will incorporate students into archeology and other work at the Center, advise and mentor students, as well as engage students in high impact learning practices, including being faculty advisor to the Archaeology Club.
