Experienced HUD Specialist Wanted!
Riverwood Village is seeking a dedicated and experienced HUD Specialist for our HUD apartment community in Russellville, AR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage casework, process applications, determine eligibility, and handle calculations and verifications.
• Work closely with applicants, participants, and property owners to ensure compliance pursuant to HUD policy.
• Perform income calculations and file reviews.
• Conduct eligibility screening for income, assets, deductions that affect rent calculations, and school verifications.
• Execute reasonable rent determinations, rent negotiations, housing subsidy assistance, and rent calculations.
• Oversee voucher issuance and approve requests for tenancy.
• Conduct periodic re-certifications/re-examinations.
• Approve requests for reasonable accommodations, program moves, and portability.
• Provide exceptional service to residents, maintaining a high standard of communication and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• HUD certification and Section 8 experience required. Only applicants with extensive CURRENT HUD certifications and Section 8 experience will be considered.
• A minimum of two years of multi-family property management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (OneSite experience preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• A proven track record of successful leasing and renewal rates.
• The ability to empathize with residents and staff while effectively enforcing community rules and policies.
